Event Marketing & Presentation Strategy for Sweets & Snacks Expo

As a premium candy brand founded by tennis champion Maria Sharapova, Sugarpova needed a high-impact presence at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in New York to engage retailers, distributors, and buyers. Eric Wheelwright and his creative team were brought in just two weeks before the event to lead a fast-paced creative rollout—developing a compelling digital experience that blended storytelling, product showcases, and bold visuals to drive booth engagement and buyer interest.


Scope of Work

Eric directed a rapid-response marketing initiative focused exclusively on digital and on-screen content. The assets were designed to be fun, vibrant, and retail-ready, with storytelling layered into animated decks, growth visuals, lifestyle graphics, and product highlight videos—all optimized for large-screen display in a live expo setting.


Key Deliverables

  • Developed an agile event marketing strategy with a focus on buyer engagement and lifestyle positioning
  • Designed a suite of digital collateral including branded graphics, growth charts, and promo slides
  • Produced product-focused and brand-story videos for use within the expo presentation flow
  • Created an animated, presenter-controlled PowerPoint deck with integrated video playback
  • Delivered all design and multimedia content in under 14 days for a fully ready trade show deployment
  • Helped drive a 30% increase in booth traffic and a 40% lift in sales during the event
